BOAT

THE THAMES PROJECT

A live project which is estimated to set sail in summer 2021. The boat project is a collaboration between a small group of Kington University students, Artist Ben Judd and Kingston Refugee action group. The aim of our design was to create a flexible space that the users can adjust to the use. The interior has a central table that can collapse into the floor to make more space and the exterior canopies can be moved around and taken down. It gives the user complete freedom of their surroundings.

THE ASYLUM CHAPEL

A project set in an Asylum Chapel in Peckham. The brief was to create a theatre space that was able to include the surrounding community. This theatre is completely modular, with a scaffolding structure that allows you to adjust the space to become best suited for the use. Artists are able to produce work in rented studios in the basement and can move the scaffolding structure to become an exhibition space.

MATERIAL SUSTAINABILITY

This project aimed to design an art gallery with whatever materials we desire, but then work out the carbon emissions caused by the product manufacturing. The second part was to find materials that can achieve the same functions yet are sourced more sustainably and create fewer emissions.
